Designed to legendary guitar player Steve Vai’s exacting standards, the JEM Junior features his signature aesthetic touches, such as the ergonomic ‘monkey grip’ body handle, and dazzling ‘tree of life’ fretboard inlay. Vai’s original JEM was instrumental in popularising the locking tremolo system in the 1980’s, and the JEMJR’s double-locking trem bridge will have you dive-bombing to your heart’s content, with rock-solid tuning to boot.
The JEM boasts a versatile Ibanez Infinity HSH pickup set. From liquid lead licks to powerchord punch, they match the supple Jatoba fretboard for a detailed, high end response with plenty of midrange weight. The JEM Jr’s Wizard III maple neck was designed with virtuosi like Vai and Joe Satriani in mind, and completes a guitar that’s made for speed.
