Kent Guitar 1960’s with two single coil pickups, The original “KENT” logo on the headstock. Solid body. Neck: Fully bound maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets, 6 original tuning keys with white buttons. Pickups/Hardware: 2 single coil pickups, 2 on/off selector switches, 1 volume knob and 1 tone knob, rhythm/solo switch, chrome hardware, original bridge cover with the “KENT” engraved logo. Cosmetics: This vintage guitar shows normal wear that is consistent with a 60 year old instrument – there are scratches & nicks & dings on the guitar and the pickguard shows some scratching & wear but overall this guitar is in good playable condition. There is some buckle rash on the back of the guitar & some wear around the edges of the guitar. Playability: This vintage guitar actually plays pretty good – the action is comfortable & the guitar has been set up with 10’s and it is ready to be played. The “Kent” was established by , a musical instrument distributor based in , in 1960. Early Kent guitars were made by , based in Sweden. These were branded “Kent” in the and “Futurama” in the . Later, around 1963, and guitars were rebadged as Kent guitars. Other manufacturers included , , and . In the early 1970s, Southland Musical Merchandise Corporation acquired the Kent brand and moved manufacturing to .
