In 1987 Mr Levinson set forth to create his own range of guitars focussing on the highest integrity build, alongside the most innovative developments. Later that year, Blade guitars were unveiled to expectant eyes and ears at the Tokyo Music Show, and the rest, as they say…is history.

A Sleek, Curvacious Body, Exquisitely Finished
The Delta Standard’s body is unquestionably stunning, wrapped in slender curves and sleek routing for maximum comfort. The body is made from North American Alder, a popular choice of wood, used still to this day by some of the most revered manufacturers in the world today.
The use of North American Alder offers many advantages, both sonically and otherwise. Firstly, the use of Alder wood makes for a bold, clear and fully-voiced sound, with prominent mid’s and full-bodied lows. Secondly, Alder bodied guitars often weigh less than guitars made of, say, mahogany. Good news for those guitarists who often find themselves performing prolonged sets and for those long, hard days in the studio.
The fingerboard is made from Pau Ferro , which is a perfect choice for the Delta Standard due to it producing a brighter tone which really accentuates the high-end tonalities, well suited to some screaming blues licks!
